there are reasons beyond actions

watched we not naughty yesterday with buddies, it's a singapore movie. the movie was literally AWESOME, zjw even watched it twice.

we not naughty

so there is one family consists of mommy, daddy, big brother, big sister, and little brother. each of them are having their own problem:

big sister was cyber bullied by her friend, and she took back revenge by cyber bullied her as well. her friend who bullied her first in the first place got frustrated and attempted to commit suicide. the police investigate the case and found out the big sister was the culprit. as now every body knows who is who, the clique who befriend the one attempted to commit suicide are trying to get revenge on her, and cut big sister's long and beautiful hair until bald. losing her beautiful hair is the same as losing her pride, and she refuse to go school for a while. 

the daddy is a driver, and the problem raised when he started to go casino to gamble. he won a lump sum of  money at the first place, but as time goes by he begins to lose his money. now he is addicted to gamble, and even dare to took groceries money. when the family is in financial crisis, he went back home and tried to get some money to gamble. the mommy tried to stop him, but ended up beaten by the daddy. the daddy bang the mommy head on a wall, and it made the mommy lose her consciousness. 

little brother is a innocent primary school kid, and always try to be a good boy before his parents. however, he always gets into trouble with his innocence. when the daddy went home and want to take groceries money, the daddy told him that he just borrow it and will return on the midnight. little brother patiently wait for his daddy, but the daddy never return. afraid his mommy will find out, he photo-copied the $50 notes, and put them back in groceries envelope. the problem raised when the mommy went to market to shop, and use fake note to purchase things. the shopkeeper taught the mommy violates the law and report the case to police.

the big brother is a low class college student, but he is very creative and an inventor. the daddy has been borrowing money from loan-sharks and now chasing him to repay the debts. big brother got no money, so he begins to involved in gang, and work for loan-sharks. big brother also need to take care of his siblings, and become the head of the family as now his mommy is hospitalized and his daddy never return.

the mommy basically got no problem with herself. but having such problematic family, who's not gonna stressed out? 

there are few casts as well, which has important role in this movie, but i'm not going to mention them here. go watch the movie as now it's still on air.

this movie contains lots of message to us. something like :

• be honest. when the little brother was bullied by his friend, the teacher called mommy that the little brother bullied his friend (off course it's a twisted truth). the mommy very angry and asked little brother:

mommy: your teacher just called and say you bullied your friend. 

little brother: no mommy! that's not true! they are the one who bully me!

mommy: so are you saying your teacher is lying?

little brother: no mommy! teacher is not lying! they are the one who lied to teacher! 

mommy: okay, if you are not going to tell me the truth, i will hit you. now tell me the truth! i will not beat you if you tell me the truth!

little brother: *don't know what to do. if he keep on saying the truth, his mother will acknowledge it as a lie and will hit him. if he lied....* okay mommy, i was the one who bully them. the teacher is not lying.

mommy: SEE! HOW DARE YOU!! *begins to beat little brother*

that was the situation we used to see right?  then here comes the daddy.

daddy: why you beat little brother? are you going to teach him to lie instead? you told him you won't beat him if he tells you the truth, but now what are you doing? you didn't keep your words!

• mother's love to her children. on the last scene, there is a woman who are going to give birth. awesomely painful, man. i can't imagine i would be doing the same thing somewhere in the future. there is quote in bahasa "pada seorang ibu yang sedang melahirkan, sebelah kaki nya ada didalam kubur" (when a mother gives birth, one of her leg is in grave). love my mommy. 

• repays good for evil. big sister did not revenge back to the cliques who cut her hair, but in the end the clique got arrested.
• what 'home' really is. the scene where the mommy is hospitalized, the daddy is unknown, and left the three children at home with no valuables (as the loan-sharks took them all). home is not where your house is. home is not where your gold or silver is. the true meaning of home, is where your family is. 
• think positive. go watch the movie first, and you will know what i mean.
• keep your words. the big brother challenge his teacher to run over school naked if the teacher lose the heli match. at the end, the teacher lost. the teacher could just run away, and pretend nothing happens. the teacher could use his authority and do some tricks to the big brother. what really happens is: the teacher competes fair and square, and keep his words by run over school naked, even though it cost him pride, reputation, and his job. but in the end, he got something valuable: student's respect, trust, and his job back. 

okay, this is a long post man. over thousand words in total. how i wish i could do the same with my polisci essay.

at least i started the first paragraph.
