been preparing meals with buddies in recent days. a home cooked meal!! the idea began when all of us have budget constraint, and thus we think of a way on how we can tighten up our budget. as everybody knows, food is the basic thing you can control and therefore we tried to cook some for our meals. from there, i just knew that citra has the capability to compete with mbak nah. love the dishes she made!
these are some pictures from the first meal. it was soup (with fried tofu, fishcakes, the usual tofu, cheese tofu), brown rice, and indonesian food: TEMPE MENDOAN! we made this when i was sleepover at citra's house, then ferdi came, and we spent the night consulting each other's love life (a.k.a menggalau).

home-cooked-dinner mates |
that time, farrell and i were in charge for groceries and we're like partner in crime. we buy lots of things, and at the end the total was always $20++. EPIC FAIL! we missed the basic reason why we're going for cooking at the first time: TO SAVE $$$.

this picture was taken on the second day. the menu were: kangkung cah terasi, fried chicken, laksa, and pineapple. cindy joined for the dinner as well.

lunch |
the third time having home-cooked-meal together, and it was lunch time. well, it was a very late lunch (had it around 4PM). the menu were: curry (with carrot, potato, and tofu), chicken karage, fried tofu, tofu perkedel, and watermelon. actually we bought clam chowder cream soup, but it was burnt. lesson of the day: be patient. when it says 'simmer', you should cook it with low heat and be patient.
here the close ups..
