from bookshelf to mini library

i have been falling in love with books since elementary, and from then i started to collect my books, magazines, whatever reading stuffs one by one. last time when i was in home, waiting for interview calls/ emails, i often went to the bookshelf and take some books which i have read before long time ago. it's like a time travel, back to those nostalgic time when i'm still wearing my school uniform. i remember my book one by one, from where it is, or from whom i get it, or which one i received as a birthday gift, which one i have to save up my coins to buy one. every book has its own story, and yes i do feel like stepping into a different world once i entered this mini library.

there was one time when i realize dusts started to pile up between the shelves, and so i decided to give it a make up. it was indeed a tiring day to clean and organize 5000 books by yourself, it cost me 1 day! but look at the bright side, i found those old books since my mom's time. if you asked your parents, they might know a book titled "oshin". it's a story of a poor girl from japan, whose life is full of sufferings and pain before getting her success. long time ago these books was made into a television series and received a good response.
i had those books there, which at that time still cost Rp. 3000 each (around $0.50 SGD).

even though i stayed in singapore now, i still keep on buying books! so i was wondering that a reading room with a cozy sofa would be the best choice. i have been browsing some bookshelf designs, and lots of them are actually unique! here are some of my favourites:
