mind palace

also known as "method of loci", an ancient method in which enables users to enhance their memory by using visualizations with the use of spatial memory, a familiar information about one's environment to quickly and efficiently recall information. some sherlock fans might be familiar with this, as he's been using most of this method in season 2 and 3.

i'm not surprised when i read this. i myself has been using this method in similar way, although it has never been significantly outstanding like having photographic memory.

there are scientific papers written about it, exposing test subjects to series of experiments in relation to test the efficiency of this method from university of alberta, MIT, and many others. imagine this, having the access to gigantic library effortlessly, as simple as closing your eyes and seeing yourself walking through your mind palace, browsing as much as you want without having to engage in actual labor. isn't that great?

i'd love to take this as a personal project.
hopefully i don't get any amnesic syndrome afterwards.
