glory is not achieved without pain and suffering

i was mugging in my bed with audit notes and then my phone rang. an email received from career services.
" hey fransisca, how have you been? was wondering how did your interview with Deloitte went?"

then i replied

"regarding the interview for Deloitte, unfortunately it didn't going well and i'm not shortlisted for the second interview. however, this is my first job interview and i'm glad i could learn something from it and se this experience for the future interviews. currently i'm still searching for jobs and i would let you know if i'm shortlisted."

received a reply from her 5 minutes later. here it goes:

yeap, things are going ups and downs if it's about jobs. i believe everybody has their own path and all we can do is to try our best and let God do the rest. all of us are familiar with this phase: the moment where everything is uncertain. it reminds me when i'm applying for high schools, for university, and those time when we wait impatiently for the news. sometimes we got rejected, we lose hope and there is ultimate temptation to give up. but well when you choose to give up, that's it. that's the end.

the point which could make you as who you are now is when you keep your faith and never give up to the situation.

a friend asked me, "what if life rejects you for 100th times?"
i answered, "then i will try for the 101st time. "

there are times to let go, but there are times to not let it go and keep trying for it.
i just realized those broad things are meant for endless try, and the specifics are sometimes meant to let go.

for example:

  • you are rejected from a specific position in specific company. well, you should let it go.
  • you are rejected from one potential job among thousands of it. well, you should give another shot.
rejection is just a slice of life. just take it easy and keep going on. cheers!
