barbiecue day

BBQ in singapore, and indonesia (in my clique):

- starts at evening when the sun is all set. if it’s too late, then it might starts a little bit earlier a.k.a when the sun is about to set. we never starts at day when the sun is scorching hot.
- main dish would be bee hoon, fried rice, french fries, or fried noodle.
- bring your jacket since it’s gonna ends late.
- chicken wings are a must.
- typical sauce for glaze are honey and bbq sauce. sometimes tomato and chilli sauce included.
- grilled corn is da bomb.
- typical red meats would be rib eye or sirloin.
- there would be a lot of processed foods: meatballs, fishballs, crabsticks, fishcakes, sausages.
- depending on the group preference, flavoured soda (coke, fanta, sprite) and flavoured tea would always there, but beer and liquor are optional.
- group games after dinner.
- the later it goes, the deeper we talk about how life throws lemons at us.

BBQ in australia (or at least in his clique):
- mostly at day time, like 12 PM or so when the sun is ready to burn your life.
- BBQ always near the pool. so you can go for few dips at pool, and come up eat BBQ, and go back for more pool dips.
- expect bikinis and short pants.
- no carbs. meats only.
- on the second thought, french fries might make it.
- shrimp on the barbie when you feel luxurious. otherwise sirloin, rib eye, and other red cuts. sometimes pork ribs are involved.
- probably only sausages can make it to the grill. no meatballs, no fishballs, no crabsticks.
- ladies would wear their make up on. it’s all for the gram yo.
- alcohol is a staple drink for celebration in any occasion.
- typical sauce for glaze... i don’t know. i think i forgot to ask.
